I wrote my song “Wine Drunk” when I was, in fact, wine drunk off of a $3 bottle of wine while in Spain for the summer with my sister. At the time, I was in a situationship that was, at least in my mind, toeing the line between friends and relationship. It didn't help that this particular situationship was with my ex. (Will I ever learn??) (If I do, the songs won’t be as interesting. Kidding! Mostly…) 

Due to my usual inhibitions being slightly impaired, I was full-on romanticizing the situation. I was thinking back to what was a not-so-great relationship, but somehow seeing only the intense love I had instead of all the pain that came from it. It was like putting on wine drunk glasses. The outro (pt. 2) of the song is essentially the wine drunk hangover. It’s the coming back down to reality and realizing that it was just the wine talking, but also not being so sure, “I really hope that drunk sayings aren’t sober thoughts.”
